Language grows. Culture remains.
Raising the new generation with Kurdish culture.
We empower the Kurdish community across the United Kingdom through contemporary language education, cultural exchange, and leadership pathways that respect our heritage while building a shared future. By teaching Kurdish in a modern and effective way that meets the needs of the new generation, creating opportunities to preserve and expand our Kurdish culture and traditions, and raising a new generation of Kurdish leaders, we strengthen the connection between our historical roots and a thriving future. Our goal is to unite and empower the Kurdish community by preserving our identity and building new opportunities for future generations, so that together we leave a strong legacy for the next generation.

A contemporary home for Kurdish language, culture, and voice in the UK.
The Kurdish Directorate for Education and Community Development in the United Kingdom is an independent non-profit organisation established to elevate Kurdish education across the country. Our main goal is to spread the Kurdish language globally and have it officially recognized.
The directorate serves children and families, Kurdish language development, education and teaching, and training and community education. It ensures equal opportunities for every Kurdish individual, without discrimination based on background, economic status, or special needs.
Annually, with the increasing number of Kurds in Britain, there is concern that there is still no school that formally teaches Kurdish children their mother tongue like other languages. This leads to many children in British schools forgetting their national history.
